My boyfriend's really shy?

And I respect that. I'm kind of the opposite but he's my first boyfriend that doesn't like to show PDA, which I do like but, even when we're alone we rarely kiss. On my front porch step only will he ever kiss me and I don't have the courage just to grab him and kiss him. What do I do? I'm 16 and he's 17 bee tee dubs.
