Is this even fair in the work place?

I work in Next in plymouth england (so if anyone goes there don't shop in there its shocking!) Not only were the managers caught tampering with staff rotas and giving out warnings (getting people fired) they have also invented a new rule where it is compulsory for women to HAVE to wear makeup to work and have weekly uniform checks (we wear next clothes) but the men don't have to have any of this. I just think it is unfair treatment and very ist we shouldn't HAVE to wear makeup as long as we are clean and presentable!!! thoughts?
