What does a Texas accent sound like to people who live in other states?

I've lived in Texas all my life. I am very proud of where I came from. To me my accent doen't sound bad but when I talk to people from other states they say it's really bad. What do you think of a Texan accent? And I'm not asking for put downs on President Bush, just because he's from Texas doesn't mean I supported things he did.
